Half day!!!  I rarely get a chance to workout during the day Monday – Friday because of my 9-5 job so I was really excited to get my workout over during lunchtime today.

The gym seems like another world in the afternoon. Usually by the time I get there I have to search for a parking spot. I really enjoyed having the gym practically to myself today! Could definitely get used to it!

I find myself willing to try things I would never try with a gym full of people. Such as a pike on the swiss ball!

Yikes!! Talk about a total body move.

I began with 30 minutes on the elliptical. This gave me the change to catch up with some of my favorite You Tubers.

Here are a couple of videos I watched today.

After 30 minutes I was getting hungry so I headed home for a snack and to finish up my workout.  I should have eaten a small snack before, but I didn’t get the chance.

With summer right around the corner and a few new tank tops in my closet I thought it was a good idea to work on my arms.

With this workout I alternate between 5 and 8 pound weights. I would recommend doing what feels right for you.

Do this workout and you’ll have toned arms in no time!

Act of Kindness:  Gave someone a hug who had not been hugged in a while.

I am grateful for the times I get to spend with my parents and brother.  We don’t live close so I really try to enjoy the time I spend with them.

I am grateful for all of the bloggers who share delicious recipes and awesome workouts.

I am grateful for the encouraging instructors at my gym. They always push you further than you think is possible.

Act of Kindness: Gave my Dad cookies for the heck of it.

I am grateful for the inspiring women who have encouraged me to not give up on my dreams.

I am grateful that I love to read. I can’t imagine life without books.

I am grateful that spring is right around the corner.

This week has seemed extra long and tiring.  I had a family emergency late Monday night that has made the past couple of night restless. I’m hoping I don’t have to really on this much longer.

Usually one cup of coffee just the trick. That’s not the case this week.

Kindness: Paid the the person behind me in the Starbucks drive through.

I’m grateful for an understanding boss.

Finding challenges such as this one that makes you find something good about your day even though it seems impossible.

Kindness: Smiled at strangers (not in a creapy way), most of them smiled back

The ability to see the light even when things around seem dark.

Great friends that are there for you in the worst of times.

After work I took a Hatha Yoga class at my gym. Best decision of the day! I felt great after class. My right hip and knee were bothering me today so I knew a good stretch would make it feel better. The class was slow and relaxed. I really enjoyed it.

Tomorrow I was supposed to begin working out in the morning instead of my normal evening workout routine. This will be my first time working out before daylight. If I can get a morning routine down I’m hoping it won’t be bad.

I’ve decided to push by morning workout back until Monday and honor my body by sleeping in a bit.  Sometimes you just have to do what feels right.

Tonight I hit the elliptical for a 40 min incline workout.

Not really have a plan I jumped off, grabbed a ball and a mat. I ended up putting together a new ab workout alternating between the ball and a mat.

5 Side Plank Hip Raise (each Side)

My abs were definitely burning when I finished!

Meditation: No.  I didn’t really meditate today. I did listen to soothing music for 15 minutes.

Kindness: I checked on a friend’s daughter who has been sick with the stomach flu.

My brother who is always there for me.

I’m grateful for others who motivate me to always do better.

1 day down 4 days to go before the weekend!
